Fad diets are a waste
of time. They often promise to help you lose a lot of weight quickly,
or tell you to cut certain foods out of your diet to lose weight.
Although you may lose
weight at first, you won't keep it off. Furthermore, they are
often unhealthy and encourage bizarre eating habits.
Fad diets are strongly
disapproved of by most medical experts and in particular by the
American Heart Association.
